Why
does Benzodiazepine Withdrawal cause Blurry Vision?

Blurry Vision and Adrenal Fatigue –blurry vision can be an adrenal fatigue problem in which the body is flooded with excess cortisol and this cortisol dehydrates the eye – results in blurry vision. This occurs often in drug or medication withdrawal – like from benzodiazepines and opiates.

Another cause of blurry vision are neurotoxins from either the Epstein-Barr virus or the Shingles virus. These neurotoxins attach to the nerves close to the eyes and cause irritation - which can cause vision disturbances.

Cortisol is found in high levels during withdrawal of opiates and withdrawal of benzodiazepines. This high level of cortisol can also cause dry and itchy eyes along with blurry vision.

Neurotoxins from viruses such as from one of the 61 strains of Epstein-Barr virus or from one of the over 30 strains of the Shingles virus can stick on the optic nerve and surrounding nerves – which can also cause or contribute to blurry vision.

Whether it be Adrenal Fatigue - which will result in excess cortisone or Neurtotoxins -- it doesn't have to be permanent and can fluctuate day to day depending on toxins and amount of cortisol flowing through the body.

Treatments: There are two things that you can do immediately to ease the withdrawal symptoms. Increase Fruit Sugar intake – as the adrenals CRAVE fruit sugar and need it every two hours for optimal functiong. Increase mineral salts – this will increase alkalinity which makes it very hard for anything harmful in the body to survive like viruses and bad bacteria. The brain needs both – the whole body needs these – that is what the body is made up of… not protein. (Muscles actually are not made by protein but by glucose, mineral salts and using them – resistance or weight lifting). See Protein Misconception. Sugar and Mineral Salts – those with adequate amounts are those that suffer a LOT less. Increase both of them now. *This will take time – it doesn’t happen in a month or two – can take six months to a year and a half. The body didn’t get this way overnight.
